I form the River Silk collection using sheet wax and the heat from my hands.   To achieve a spontaneous and organic outcome, I close my eyes and fashion the pieces blindly.  The larger pieces(up to 8cm) are easier to make.   The smaller pieces (1.5 cm or smaller) are quite difficult.  I never know if a piece is successful until it has been cast, cleaned, and polished.....it is always a surprize.
